One photograph, one artwork
This is Vello #001 and the mirror selfie it came from. Drag to compare, or tap on a phone. We show the source on purpose, because the distance from an ordinary picture to the object on the wall is the point.
Faces are softened, never distorted. Backgrounds are simplified rather than invented. We do not add objects or change what happened in the photograph.
The four steps
- 01Upload
Choose a photograph that already matters. We tell you at once whether it holds up at the size you want. A tight one gets a note and a one tap move to the next size down. We never block you.
- 02We create
Pick up to three styles from the studio's own work, and the studio makes your Vello in each. Pose, hands, clothing and the way you stand together are kept.
- 03You choose, then pay
The results arrive by email. Pick one, change the size or frame if you want, then pay. A person checks your Vello against your photograph before production.
- 04Made for your wall
Made to order as Fine Art, canvas or framed, signed and dated, and shipped within the EU.
How long it takes
There are two clocks, and we keep them separate. One is us making your Vello. The other is a courier crossing Europe. These are guidance, not guarantees.

You get an email when your artwork enters creation, another when your preview is ready, and another with tracking when it ships.

Framed pieces come in black, natural oak, white, all with acrylic glazing. Glass is not insurable in transit and it destroys the artwork when it breaks, so we do not use it.
A second copy of the same artwork is 30 percent off. The creative work is done once, so the second one costs less to make.
What arrives
Your artwork, in an outer art box, wrapped in glassine and cream tissue under a matte Vello seal. Inside: one Story Card and your Certificate of Authenticity with your Vello ID.
The certificate does not claim your Vello was painted by hand. It records provenance: made exclusively from your moment, documented by Vello. Read The Vello Promise for what happens if anything goes wrong.
